Easy to fold I think…. Very easy. My kitty curls up in it, the frame is wire so it bounces inwards and for a kitty it's about as effective as putting a hamster in a hamster ball like a house, they run just everywhere. in it because there isn't really any weight or structure (other than thin wires that pop in different ways). For a calm adult cat or just a very shy cat this may be fine, but if your cat has energy or jumps regularly I wouldn't recommend it.
