Review on Comfortable Women's Bike Shorts with 4D Gel Padding, Pockets, and Wide Waistband – Ideal for Cycling, Spinning, and Biking by Michael Willis

Good value for money shorts

I bought these with the "BALEAF 4D Padded Cycling Spinning Road Bike Pockets Wide Waistband UPF50+" so I'll compare them. Firstly, although I've been riding for 2 years and I ride 30 miles a day, this is my first pair of cycling shorts so I can't compare them to others. I used to wear yoga shorts, which are a bit roomy and therefore very comfortable. However they are not padded and I got a new seat and decided not to use the neoprene/gel cover I was using so I needed padded cycling shorts. It's comfortable enough. They say they are high waisted but actually the waist is at my navel level so I wouldn't call them high waisted. They are the same length as the BALEAF cycling shorts that I bought at the same time, but when I wear them, the BALEAF feels a little longer on the leg. The padding is about 1/2 inch narrower on each side than the BALEAF, but that's acceptable. The elastic at the bottom does not dig into the leg and does not roll. You wash well. I delete them. in cold water with detergent powder and air dry. I love the pockets which come in handy for my train ticket (on very windy days I sometimes walk far into the wind and get on the train to come back) but I just slip my train ticket in my pocket when I'm on the train with it I can tap into them on the way out. I don't drive with a passport in my pocket because the pockets feel a little flat and I fear a long journey will end. Overall they are good for the money but I prefer a pair of BALEAFs and I certainly wouldn't spend the $120 that a pair of Pearl Izumi would cost. should feel like pajamas!
