Review on Enhance Your MMA Skills with Everlast Train Advanced 7-Ounce Closed-Thumb Grappling/Training Gloves by James Lozoya

Full hand protection

First of all the grey, red color does not match the description, the red is more of a maroon which I have no problems with. It just needs to be clarified. Second, the sizes are large, S/M is more like M and L/XL is more like XL. In addition, these gloves are very suitable for everyday sparring. Double stitching would have been nice in high wear areas but the overall construction and quality is more than adequate. The fit may feel uncomfortable at first, very stiff, but if you've ever bought MMA gloves you'll need to go through a few rounds in them before they soften and mold to your hands. The wrist closure is a long strap that wraps twice around your wrist and secures with three Velcro straps making it very secure. The padding is the reason I bought this glove instead of the 4 ounce gloves Everlast also sells without a thumb. Protection. The knuckles and thumb have very thick pads. The back of the hand is also very soft, which makes blocking the back of the hand completely sweat-free. Speaking of sweat, the lining of this glove uses a lining called "Forever Fresh" which works, the glove doesn't smell like my matches but then again I still clean my gloves when I get home. I still recommend cleaning them instead of leaving the hem in a damp, dark gym bag. The cushioning foam pads are wider than your palms, making them appear very large as long as your fingers and thumbs are aligned. Well the holes are fine. I wrestle and clinch them with no problem. These gloves are slightly heavier than thumbless gloves, but offer much more cushioning and the added weight is negligible. I highly recommend them for everyday combat. Whether you're into MMA or kickboxing, this is an affordable pair of quality gloves that will last you quite a while if cared for properly.
