Review on GM Genuine Parts 89060413 Intake Manifold Gasket Kit: Ensuring Reliable Performance with Side Intake Gaskets by Paul Bijeaux

I replaced it with a knock sensor, the plastic clips made it easy to install and I've had no problems with this gasket. The previous owner of my car installed a Fel-Pro hydraulic version (a 2004 Silverado 1500 with a 5.3L engine). Both seals would fit on this car. I think AC delco is easier to install. My engine no longer knocks for about 15 seconds at start (used to be even when the knock sensor didn't trigger the DTC). I'm not sure if this is because I installed a new knock sensor or a new manifold gasket. . There was some dirt and debris on the surface of the old gasket, so it might just have been dirty. I know the dealer mechanic before me changed the knock sensor to allow dirt to get on the manifold gasket that is causing the knock.
