Ideal for attaching a gas hose to AR

I lost the (*$(*#$$%%$# gas hose pin on one of my ARs and this pin is just what you need to get it right It sticks out about a millimeter more than the "real" pin on either side of the gas block, but that doesn't matter, does it?
