After 12 years, with a little help from the US government, I finally broke down and built a new computer. My goal was to use the very best components my wallet could afford, and then the pandemic struck. Prices have skyrocketed and PC parts availability has been hit hard. I wanted a gold rated power supply and sometimes just couldn't pay more than $500 for one, and I didn't want a power supply from a company I didn't know. My old PC used a Seasonic 500w PSU and it has never let me down. It works to this day. I took the plunge and bought this 650w not knowing that later I will win the graphics card lottery and I will get lucky and get an RTX 3080 graphics card They said 650 watts is normal. I've waited and waited and waited and when the graphics card finally arrived I installed it and have played for hundreds of hours since then without a single problem. Once again, the season didn't let me down. Admittedly I've only had it a little over 6 months so time will tell but if it's anything like my other Seasonic power supply I shouldn't have a problem with it and it should last a long time.
