Skip this PSU

Bought a Seasonic S12III 650 SSR-650GB. The power supply worked perfectly for about 24 hours, after which problems arose. I'm building this computer for a colleague and his skeptical wife. First they reported that the computer keeps freezing, which (at first) could be anything. The computer kept shutting down and eventually wouldn't turn back on. I replaced the PSU with a new one (not Seasonic from Revain) and bam everything worked fine. I removed the cover and found the transformer was cracked

EMERGENCY STOP ALWAYS ON - PROLONGED USE DAMAGE EQUIPMENT

After installing the power supply, my office switch toggles every time I use a PC. The problem usually occurs during operation when the CPU is busy, during some games or tests. The breaker never works when the machine is off. I don't think this is an issue with the home network as I also use the room as an entertainment venue and never run into any issues with the Switch. And since I almost never have a PC with the TV and games console on, I doubt that overloads the circuitry. I also tested…

Disappointing defect

I love Seasonic products so this review is difficult to write. This unit was built for a friend and then returned to Revane. This PSU had coil whine when the computer was off. Once the machine was turned on, the howl was replaced by the sound of an arc/hum. I ruled out the PSU fan as the cause and then ruled out power line noise by connecting this PSU to an active PFC UPS. In short, it was a bad PSU. I would attribute it to a faulty unit and order another, except I've also bought several of…

Am I one of millions that this PSU fried in my new build in 2 weeks? Why?

Am I one of millions that this power supply fried my new build in 2 weeks? Can someone tell me why he fried it? VGA) fried. This is the location for AS RockB550M Pro 4. You must turn it off to activate the desktop. Otherwise it will only turn on, turn off and not turn on. The hot spot is in the top corner of the case, so shouldn't touch any screw to cause a short circuit. Build: This PSU, Amd3600, GTX750TI (60 watts), Ubit AX200 ($26), Gigabyte GC-USB 3.1, Standard AMD 3600 fan, Montech Air X…

Will it power the RTX 3080? Yes it will!

After 12 years, with a little help from the US government, I finally broke down and built a new computer. My goal was to use the very best components my wallet could afford, and then the pandemic struck. Prices have skyrocketed and PC parts availability has been hit hard. I wanted a gold rated power supply and sometimes just couldn't pay more than $500 for one, and I didn't want a power supply from a company I didn't know. My old PC used a Seasonic 500w PSU and it has never let me down. It…
