After 20 km away. I've had a lot of K&N Performance receivers, that's the first thing I regret. Extremely loud when you are driving straight and start driving uphill or on another level. From 3000 rpm it sounds better and makes the usual K&N intake noises. But between 2000-3000 rpm is too much for me. The heat shield could seal better, it's about an inch from the fender. On a positive note, this is the nicest K&N product I have ever bought.
