I am a Building Inspector and specialize in finding penetrating and hidden moisture. The first job I got with these sensors paid for Raum with its $20 moisture detector. After he left the room, I went in and placed these sensors under the baseboard with the contractor standing next to me. Of course, they showed exactly where the moisture was hiding. behind the baseboard! Now he was calling me in all my shops Probes are thin (not too thin) They're supposed to be thin considering they can slide behind or under baseboards without removing the baseboard or damaging the walls or floor. So don't think about keeping them straight so they don't bend when you put them in. They will last just thinking about it.
