Never put an American Girl doll or other items important to you in this item. I'm really surprised it got so many stars. This is initially not included in the scope of delivery. It comes in a plastic bag. If you're giving this as a gift, you might want to spend a few extra dollars on the box to make it gift-worthy. Second, I would question the value of the Best Toy for Children award. I could not find any Top Toy Award entries for this product. Instead, I found a website that directs the seller to submit two samples and an amount of money to enter the Children's Creativity Awards Program. The legality of any reward for this product should be viewed with suspicion. Third, this is a very small place. The American Girl dolls are too big for this place. A regular 18 inch doll with no hard legs will fit in this chair, but American Girl dolls will not. I suspect the seller is holding on to the success and quality of another product to bolster their reputation. There should be no illusion that these two products go together. These dolls don't fit either. Finally, the fit and finish is rough. The stamped metal fittings are irregularly shaped to attach to the plastic seat. You need to put a flat surface on top of a round surface and twist them together. Use your own judgment when tightening the screws. Too weak and it will rattle and likely fall off the bike. Too much and the seat will warp or break. I would be surprised if the parts actually belonged to the manufacturer when they were packaged and sold. The simplest quality control would show that the parts do not fit. I really thought you couldn't lose for the price I paid. If you would use your doll as a bike fender, I would say go for it. I wouldn't invest anything worthwhile there.
