Review on Huawei Freebuds Pro MermaidTWS with Active Noise Cancellation - Silver Frost by Makoto Ueba ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great product, best quality.

In general, the most satisfied. In terms of sound, everything is very good, all frequencies are heard clearly, the bass is quite readable, but not overly straining. The case is heavy, but this is due to the large battery. In terms of autonomy, everything is good, with daily listening on the way to / from work for about an hour + daily Zoom conferences, phone calls about 1-1.5 hours + music / video at lunch for about 1 hour - enough for 5-6 days. Charging by wire is a little less than an hour, there is wireless charging (only works when the shiny panel with the logo is on top). Autopause, answering calls, volume control (!) with gestures is very convenient, everything is configured in the AI Life application, there is an in-ear test for better sound and noise reduction. Noise reduction is excellent, I did not even expect it, my head does not hurt from it. The transparency mode is also interesting, in addition to it there is voice optimization. They sit perfectly in the ears, very firmly even when playing sports (running / horizontal bars), and even when chewing)) they never fell out. A big plus is the simultaneous connection to two different devices. Connected to the Asus phone and laptop, when listening to sound on the laptop, when a call comes in to the phone, I simply received the call from the headphones and talked. After the end of the conversation, he simply unpaused the music on the laptop - playback continued through the headphones. The connection animation on the phone is top, it looks like Apple, but it's very stylish / fashionable / youthful. The quality of the bluetooth connection is stable, there have never been any failures. After wired bluetooth headphones it is very convenient, no need to turn on / off - just open the case, after a second they are already connected to the phone, insert the headphones back - after 3 seconds they automatically turn off. The headphones themselves sit tight in the case, I tried to shake it with the lid open - they do not fall out. They get out of the case easily and conveniently, for those who have problems - see the gesture help in the application, it shows how to get it out without much effort. As a result: 10 out of 10.

Pros
  • Not in order of importance: - General sound quality; - Build quality; - Noise suppression; - Autonomy; - There is an auto-pause when one earphone is pulled out; - Headphone volume control; - Form factor (at least somehow different from AirPods); - The quality of the microphone; - Wireless charging case; - Pair with two devices at the same time; - Type-C cable included; - Connection animation on Huawei / Honor devices (a trifle, but nice).
Cons
  • The easily soiled case, on the gray side of the lid opening, shuffles quickly enough.
