Other access points, such as the NETGEAR Nighthawk, failed to maintain a connection due to overheating when the battery was plugged in or underpowering when plugged in without the battery. This device is powered via POE with the included power adapter. I had the US model so I didn't need an adapter. It was a plug and play operation. I just inserted my ATT SIM card (using a SIM card adapter as this device requires a full size SIM card). Plugged everything in and within minutes it was up and running and connected to the network. Interestingly I had around 7-10Mbps with Netgear and it was over 70Mbps! The web interface is pretty basic and I like the ability to set the firewall with a MAC address. In general, three days with it I am very satisfied because it is exactly what I need. The price seemed fair as the commercial units were much more expensive. Shipping, good thing Revain followed suit so day 2 was free with Prime.
