Not sure if this will work

I just bought this recently and couldn't get it to work on 2 different TVs at my mum's house. I'm very disappointed as I bought this with the intention of starting a Christmas chimney playing Christmas music on our TV while we decorate it for Christmas but I haven't had any luck with this adapter yet.
