I have used Home Depot twine to clean the garden in the past but the quality seems to be declining. It breaks when I tie garden brushes together. I tested this yarn and it is heavier than its 6ply brother and this 3ply yarn is almost perfect for the garden. It doesn't break 90% of the time, but there are weak points where it breaks for no particular reason. I like the three-layered character of the yarn. While this cord would be good for other uses, gardening use is just about perfect. It's also half the price of six-ply yarn, so it's great for my needs.
