Looks much larger in the picture. I was looking for twine to tie trees. Will not work for this application. But mostly holds a pulley. Buyer Warning.

Broken in three places on first use. In fact, I just pulled them between two screws, the structure shifted and broke in 3 places. Weak weak weak. VERY DISAPPOINTING. wasted in vain

It's thinner than expected according to other reviews. Worse, it is very slippery (unlike regular jute twine) making it difficult to pick up knots. It may be suitable for plant ties, but not strong enough for garden waste (branches, bamboo).

This natural jute yarn is perfect for crocheting! I am making some bags for myself this summer to take to farmers markets and this cord is strong and durable. I despise the plastic bags they currently use and these knitted bags will last for years. I would be very interested if you happen to have a thicker cord like this.

I bought this for crocheting, it's perfect for that use. It is thin and has a beautiful finish that makes it softer and more delicate. I figured 948 feet would be enough to make the bag I wanted, but towards the end I had to order another roll. I am a gardener and would not recommend this for garden or yard use. The only thing I didn't like was the strong chemical smell that came out when unpacking.

So yeah I didn't read the reviews. because it says 3 plies, and I regularly buy 2,3 and 4 plies of jute rope and twine from various stores. I thought I would try to find a better deal. It's not 3 layers. If I cut this length into 3 pieces and tie them together, there will be 3 layers, but this is regular yarn. Some reviewers said it knits well so I guess I'll try crocheting it. It won't work for what I need it for.

I have used Home Depot twine to clean the garden in the past but the quality seems to be declining. It breaks when I tie garden brushes together. I tested this yarn and it is heavier than its 6ply brother and this 3ply yarn is almost perfect for the garden. This yarn appears to be of good quality but is misrepresented in the title and description. It's a little thinner than the yarn I usually use, but should be sufficient for garden use.
