Review on ๐Ÿ“š Complete Manual Guide for Chevrolet Venture, Oldsmobile Silhouette, Pontiac Trans Sport and Montana 1997-2001 (Haynes Manuals) by Scott Hall

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good general guide.

I've owned my '99 Silhouette Van for almost 8 years. Now I'm at the point where I don't want to pay $60 plus an hour to have someone else fix minor issues with it. Since purchasing the manual I have replaced the driver's side mirror and vent speed control. The mirror is $35 and the controller is $18. Replacing both took some time and effort (particularly the ventilation controls). I estimate management saved me $300 or more in labor plus taxes. Who is this guide useful for? On a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being a beginner and 10 being an expert, I would give it a solid 5. The manual describes several procedures that most people don't perform, such as: B. Changing the spark plugs (needs to start the engine - won't happen in my garage). But in general, if you read the procedures ahead of time and take your time, you should be able to complete most of the tasks in the guide.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • So far, so good
