This is our 5th time painting our pool. In general, we can expect approximately 3 years of color life without fading or discoloration. We painted our pool on July 4th 2019 and prepared the pool as recommended and as we have done for the past 14 years. The outer rim and the rim of the pool look great the way we painted them yesterday. The rest of the pool completely disappeared as if we hadn't even painted it. The color actually looks like it was completely washed off. Now we face the cost and time to paint again. Those gallons of paint certainly don't come cheap, not to mention the 40+ hours of prep and painting time and the cost of filling our 33,000 gallon pool with our own well water, chemicals, etc. We've always used Insulx paint, but this time We did not buy directly, this is our mistake. Attention buyers I think. Just look at the difference between the outer rim and the steps. The entire basin is faded and mostly washed away. Check out the pool when it was completed on July 30, 2019. This is how it should look like so far.
