Review on 🔧 C16 Camper Supports - Quantity C1620651 by Carl Watkins

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I ordered them from the retailer who sold me the bowl and was very disappointed as they didn't even last half their life.

40 pounds each is too much for a lightweight glass door on the back of a Lear RV for Toyota Tacoma. One is all you need! I didn't know what to think as I remembered the spacers and tried to squeeze them together with my bare hands. It takes a lot of strength to do that! At first I thought something was wrong with them because I wasn't expecting that much spring resistance and decided I bought the wrong part. I was fooled by the Amazon reviews I read. But I decided to just replace a flimsy jamb to see how it works and this new Suspa C16-20651 19" is still more than enough to lift and hold a glass door. They don't have installation instructions Sent to remove or remove the spring clip prior to installation but I figured it out. There is a groove on the back of the post under the spring clip to insert a small screwdriver in. The last replacements I bought only lasted about three years and less spring resistance.I ordered them from the retailer that sold me the shell and was very disappointed as they didn't last half as long as the original.I called them again to compare prices and they wanted $35 each! there was one more mistake. so for me a good buy. right now i only need one. I might add a rack later but for now it is t it ok Finding the right part took me some effort and research because I couldn't trust the Lear dealer who still didn't recommend a replacement part, but I will keep it.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Poorly thought out
