, I am a professional journalist with over 25 years of experience and would like to caution others against purchasing this product for professional use. I found it unreliable in every way and the only thing that kept it as promised was the fact that it was metal. When I received the voice recorder I had to contact customer service as I couldn't even flip the switch to turn it on. They were quick to respond with instructions on how to loosen the knob and recommended lubricating the knob or using a tool to turn it on. However, no one worried that the item wasn't ready to use out of the box. I didn't have to flip the switch to the correct position to use it when it's new. Switching on is still difficult, but it is easier.2. The battery has gone completely dead several times with little or no use. I made sure it was fully charged before work, but it died at 3 different job interviews. Luckily I used a backup recorder as it proved unreliable.3. Similarly, the recorder simply stopped working at least half a dozen times during the interviews. The screen freezes and all buttons become unresponsive even though it's charged. My only remedy was to cycle it repeatedly until it worked again. Finally, you don't have to buy this item to record phone calls as I have found other vendors that ONLY sell a speaker that plugs into almost any voice recorder to record calls for a fraction of the price of that voice recorder. So far I've used them effortlessly with no problems. Can't believe I spent that much money on this recorder when there were options for less than a quarter the price that do exactly the same thing, only reliably.

  • HQ AUDIO AT 1536 KBPS - With the highest KBPS available on the market, you'll be amazed at the quality of .WAV audio! If you prefer the .MP3 format, you can record at 192 Kbps!
