Review on Rintuf 34'' Electric Fireplace Insert: Remote-Controlled Heater with Customizable Display, Timer, and Overheating Protection by Michael Boyd

The device makes noises that can be annoying. Low level, like a fan humming.

Wanted to add a fireplace to my bedroom to add warmth and atmosphere without adding a chimney, gas line or brickwork. So when it became available online, I ordered it. Here's what I found: 1. Probably the most important aspect is that this device produces background noise from the flame, similar to a low hum. The pitch changes depending on the color and intensity of the flame selected. Fireplace coding tends to muffle these sounds, as does using the heater and her family.2. The flames are very realistic and you have many options for the speed, intensity and color of the flames. You can also change the color and intensity logs. The height of the flame corresponds to the height of the fire in the fireplace. Sometimes the flame rises quite high as the gas is burned from charcoal. This is an established fire, not a new one, so you won't have the intense flames of a fire that's just started. The remote control works very well and the fire starts from where you last adjusted! Okay, you don't have to reset every time you restart fire.4. It's designed as an insert, NOT a hand on the wall, and the fireplace is done! If you don't have a chimney to put this in, you'll need to create an environment for it. The power cord on this one is NOT conducive to being seen. This is not a flat plug, it is a standard three wire plug just inserted so it sticks out.6. It has a two-stage heater with an output of 750 and 1500 watts. There is no way of knowing which setting you have enabled. You will simply know if it is active or not active. It's off, low or high. There is no indication of the level you are at. Also NO thermostat. It is either enabled or not enabled. Sort of like the fire is lit or not.7. Touch controls are visible for a short time before disappearing. Provides a beautiful chimney display.8. I used this on a couple of tool boxes as spacers to get the right height. Now I need to build a shelf around it so it can sit. I'm satisfied with the looks, the warmth and the realism it conveys. The noise doesn't really bother me, but I thought you should be aware of its existence. Framing helps against noise.
