At first I thought these dual-use Scotch-Brite sponges had one major advantage over the ones I usually buy from Home Depot — the spongy halves of these sponges don't seem to dry out and need moisture before you can use them to pick up spills. Unfortunately, that enduring flexibility seems to have disappeared after a week or two of work. You need to moisten them before use, just like other sponges. While Scotch touts the non-scratch side of these sponges, other reviewers seem to think they're still too aggressive. Can't comment on that because nothing I've cleaned (like nonstick pans or whatever) has been that delicate. However, I like the raised cleaning dots that seem to make cleaning easier. I don't have a clear opinion on their size and shape - they're certainly larger and hexagonal unlike the rectangular sponges I've had before. So they take up a little more space on the sink where I keep them, minus, but they also absorb more spills, plus. Shipping Revain).
