Review on Anolon Accolade Hard-Anodized Precision Forge Cookware Set, 12-Piece Pot and Pan Set with Glass Lids, Moonstone Finish by Tony Blanco

Great at first, not so good after a while

I did a lot of homework with these pots. And they have a lot of great features. But I've been waiting to post this review to see how they hold up over time and it's not great. They heat up fairly evenly. Lids fit well. Please check sizes carefully before ordering. All pans are slightly smaller than you would expect from a set like this. I didn't understand it in the description and wasn't happy when they took it out of the box. However, the biggest problem is that pans are not very durable and scratch very easily. You CANNOT put pans together without spacers. I had to take old kitchen towels and make rugs. It's really a pain to deal with. I'm also now very scared of using metal utensils. Note that the first thing they advertise is durability. This material is not durable at all. The non-stick coating worked the first few times I used it, but stopped working as well after a few months. We don't wash pots in the dishwasher, and now washing them requires some effort. Finally, I don't like the bottom with slits on the edge. I move the pan a lot when I'm cooking and these crevices get caught on the surface of the hob when you shake it and spill. I have attached three photos. One with scratches on the pan. I think most of this is probably due to a smaller saucer fitting inside. The second photo shows a scratch on the pan and the third photo shows the pans included in the set for size reference (7.5 liter pan not shown). Each of these pans has some kind of scratch. Bottom line these pans are really great 2. I regret my purchase and we are already looking for a replacement.
