This is a rigid plumbing for the domestic well. We had issues with faucet aerators, toilet valves etc getting clogged with rust. I used a short 1/4 NPT nipple, a 1/4 X 3/4 spigot, and a 3/4 X thread adapter to connect a garden hose to the washing machine riser. I used a 3/4 check valve on the filter to prevent backflow. It was a 30ft run and I had a feeling the PEX 1/4 hose would be prone to clogging. 2) The photos show before and after rinsing. There is a tendency for sediment to form at the bottom of the filter. The net should be pulled out regularly for cleaning. 3) I used 100 micron mesh to minimize clogging and back pressure.
