So my friends got me a projector for my birthday as I mentioned I want one and don't have a TV in the bedroom. I was happy watching movies and shows with my new projector, but I needed to connect to my laptop and that's where this adapter came in. I got this HDMI to USB adapter hoping to start streaming with my new projector. The first day I just watched YouTube videos and everything worked perfectly. The picture and sound quality was great, but after a few days I wanted to watch a movie on Hulu and the sound came but no picture; That's because that I need one of those firestick chrome casting machines to stream. I've never used any of these before and don't know what they were for, but now I get it. The adapter works great but not for the purpose I need it for and it makes more sense to invest the money I spent on the adapter into a Chromecast so I can watch videos with my projector the way it is I originally intended.
