Let's get down to business. Ergonomic: Designed for efficiency and comfort in a work environment: not for the baking and cooking enthusiast. This is a cheap set of knives and a block. The block looked used at first glance. It had a dent in one corner, small (not many) fragments in the holes where the knives go. The knives themselves are thin and some are not very hard. A few knives wobble in use. I'm not sure if this explains it well, let's just say thinness matters when using a pair of knives. Unfortunately, I threw away the packaging material before cleaning and using it. MY MISTAKE! They will work for a while. Or maybe my daughter would want them? But you and I bet I'll spend a few hundred bucks on my next set! Just don't buy cheap stuff unless you're on a budget :) Hope this helps!
