I bought this device just over 6 months ago. So far everything is working very well. Let's face it, this device is very reasonably priced compared to the competition. Considering the price I am very satisfied with the performance. My setup is a 2017 MacBook Pro 15" with Touch Bar. I connected it to a 27" Acer 2k monitor via HDMI. Pros: - Works instantly. Everything is connected and I don't have to make any settings or install additional software. - Automatically charges my 15" MacBook when it's plugged in! - Drives a display with a standard HDMI cable. - Connected to Ethernet so I can disable WiFi when connected. Cons: - Sometimes it flickers Screen. Not enough to want to return the device. Sometimes the external display doesn't turn on. When this happens, I turn off the device (button on the right side of the front panel) and everything works again. You can only use 1 external monitor (which is not a disadvantage in this price range.) Conclusion: A great device for the price. You can't find anything cheaper for USB C. If you only need to drive one monitor, buy this device!
