***UPDATE*** October 12th, 2021 Lid often gets stuck which is very annoying in the morning. If you play around with it properly, it will eventually open all the way, but more often than not it will snap into place. Otherwise it's still a good product. I bought one of these years ago and the lid hinges broke. I was happy with it, even my kids could make a quick breakfast by themselves. My suggestion: 1. Spray/rub some oil on the bottom and top cups of your egg in the cup (less dishes). 3. Prick each yolk. 4. Add a teaspoon of water to each cup5. Microwave for 30-40 seconds depending on microwave voltage and how you like poached eggs Done! I wash immediately, quickly wipe with a soapy sponge, rinse and done! my English MIL stands for simpler poached eggs
