I've had about 6 or 7 VHS/DVD players, all Toshiba. The last one I had was very "faint" in color on the screen. I've never had this problem. That wasn't so clear either. Sometimes it looks wavy. It works, but not as well as some I've gotten without a remote. If I need to buy more I will look for something without a remote control. I feel like sellers are more honest about the "quality" of their product.
