The plug-in is fine, stays in the socket, lights up quietly and does not bother. My problem is related to the device you are charging. It broke in my iPad after four months, just bent in half and broken! I was able to pull it out with little effort, but it should have taken longer. I get replacements for both cables as I don't want the other cable to slow down in my iPhone. Poorly flexible materials. Stay away, there are better foods out there.
