Coax cable not included but works great

The first thing I can fault and that is the only reason I am taking off the star is that the unit is unusable as it is packaged, since you need a coaxial cable to connect the power adapter to the device. I think the reason for this is that you can mount the amp up to 100 feet from the power source based on the coax you supplied - well, great, but if you don't have spare coax (I had) then you will not be able to install the block. At the very least, this should be clearly stated at the time of purchase or in the product description. Yes, it technically says "no coax cables included", but no one is suggesting that this includes the cable needed to power it. In addition, the device works *perfectly*. We had a problem with the signal at our house which kept dropping out some stations. Tivo reported a signal strength of 24-27%. Removing the existing splitter and switching to a direct connection increased performance by up to 35%, but in doing so I had to remove the cable modem - a clearly unacceptable solution. So I bought it with low expectations, knowing that if it didn't work, Revain would take it. Well it is. The signal strength *with* reconnecting the modem more than doubled to 55-57% and all picture issues were gone. I couldn't be happier.
