Review on Professional Milligram Precision Electronic Calibration by Heather Joseph

Nice surprise

I have been using Frankford scales for 7 years and they meet my needs very well. Its accuracy (not to be confused with accuracy) is 1/10th of a grain. For most of my downloads this accuracy is fine, but there is one download where I need higher accuracy. It's not necessary, but it would be nice. I happened upon the Brifit which measures up to 1/100th of a grain and was easy to try for the price. I was positively surprised. It far exceeded my expectations. In terms of accuracy, Brifit and Frankford appear to be comparable at 1/10th of a grain. Brifit might even measure a little faster. And now I can get readings with an accuracy of 1/100th of a grain, giving me more confidence when choosing a sensitive load. Because the Brifit is more accurate, you'll find that it's more sensitive to temperature, airflow, and a stable flat platform, as you'd expect, so I'll give it a few minutes to stabilize before using it. It is also well packaged. The Frankford scale was a great tool and I benefited a lot from it, but if I had to choose between scales today I would definitely choose Brifit.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
