Gas Springs/Rear Window Lifter Brackets
This product worked very well on my 2006 Ford Explorer. The brace physically extends about an inch longer than the OEM part, but works well. Since the extended lengths are not exactly the same, I had to remove both supports in order to be able to easily mount the new ones. It is much more difficult to compress the brace to fit onto the mounting pins. Simply remove both supports and you can lift the tailgate glass slightly for easier installation.
