Therefore this review consists of 3 parts. I purchased this item along with two others on the recommendation of a bundle from Amazon. This is a plus, basket and crossbars for my 2014 Ford Flex for this year's family outing. the basket contained camping equipment, i.e. a tent, sleeping bags and the like. nothing fancy, but enough for us to free up cargo space inside. Everything came up and off we went, I covered things with a tarp to reduce wind or water damage. I also secured it with extra cords for extra stability. We stopped for about 60 miles to refuel and I went to check that everything was still there, but a couple of cables were starting to fall apart and a couple of gaps were already torn, so I adjusted it. and continued our journey, I couldn't help it now. Our trip lasted 8 days, covered 3900 miles and 6 states. During the ride, the cords began to tear in various places. and in the end it was just the outsides and nothing holding them together in the middle. (See image) The photo was taken on our last day at home, when we got home it was unusable, which in turn prompted us to bring extra bungee cords for this trip, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to secure our things. The only positive feedback I can give on this product is that the clips heal very well with no breakage or issues. But the network is completely useless. And to be absolutely clear, I have the same 8' x 4' that I've used and abused for almost 8 years and it's still in great condition. My advice to us is a warning about this product.
