Fun styles but they don't make them the same

I work as a preschool therapist and this is one of my favorite toys. I like that there are multiple options for each feature as the choice emphasizes the child's language and engagement. The colors are bright and cheerful, and there's even a pair of "angry" eyes so we can talk about Potato Head's feelings! Two complaints: 1. Parts don't slide as easily as they used to. The Potato Head concept is suitable for a very early stage of development where the strength of children's fingers may not be able to do it and it is troublesome. With my older Potato Head, all the kid had to do was work on finger strength and dexterity without getting frustrated, but I have a lot of help with that. What about the shoes? On the old Potato Head, the shoe, like the other parts, had a stick to attach it to. In this case, the shoes cover the entire lower half of the body. That in itself isn't that big of a problem, the problem is that it makes the shoes very bulky and difficult to fit in a box with other items - and for the same reason there's only one set. I would rather have a selection of shoes and be able to pack them neatly in the box. The box is cute, but I prefer rectangular boxes that fit better on the shelf. I like the "pretty" factor, but I'll probably end up buying a rectangular container to save space. A little ashamed. The manufacturer should definitely take this criticism into account. As a buyer, that's as good as it gets. The Potato Head is a classic for a reason, and in this set you'll find a nice selection of pieces to have fun with. It seems to go on sale fairly regularly, which also makes it great value for money.
