I bought one of these when they first came out along with the "Boombox". It seemed silly to pay for a subscription just for the occasional holiday radio, so I mostly use it in my garage plugged into the receiver/speakers. When I replaced my receiver, there was a lot of ground loop noise in the speakers every time I plugged in the satellite radio. I've tried all kinds of cheap and expensive ground loop neutralizers and it just didn't work. When I saw how cheap they were and that they were still being made, I decided to give it a try. NO more ground loop hum! I've had many good years with the old one and I hope the same from this new one!
