The Ford Fiesta is a pain to install, but not crazy. Take your time

Replacing the fan on the Fiesta requires removing the dashboard airbag. not too difficult. To get the correct bushing you will need to rotate one of the brake pedal sensors a quarter turn and pull out. Then you need to remove the gas pedal. Not bad. Removing the brake pedal is the hardest part. You really need to remove the other sensor and not leave it hanging like the first one. Then pull the pin out of the brake booster and disconnect all plug connections. Move. Then detach the steering shaft. Just keep the steering wheel straight. I had to lay my back with my head under the dash to see and undo all the screws. Not too hard, but easy on bones and muscles. To do this, you need a T-15 bit. Putting it back together isn't too scary, but getting the brake pedal back is a bit of a pain. In 2 hours of work I was able to take out the old one and install the new one. I took 3 because I was taking a lunch break to rest my back. The new fan works great, but in my opinion it's a bit louder than the old one. Just turn on the radio. I probably only notice it because the old one slowly died until it fell off entirely. I have 275,000 miles on a 2015 Fiesta and had the timing belt changed twice (100,000 each) and had to replace the transmission out of pocket as the warranty was out. But a good junkyard was bought and installed and I put about 100,000 miles on it and my grand total was about $1300 for it. I'll keep the car until it's dead. Oil does not seize, consumption per gallon is still 35km. When I'm at 300,000 I'll change the timing belt again. Still looks new.
