This is my family's favorite cleaner - it works really well, contains all natural ingredients and is much safer than other alternatives for children and pets. The ingredients are clearly listed. ACTIVE SUBSTANCE: Thymol 0.05% OTHER INGREDIENTS: 99.95% Water, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Citrate, Citric Acid, Copper Sulfate Pentahydrate (Bluestone), CleanWell® Aromatic Blend of Essential Oils. OVERALL: 100.00% - so I'm not sure why some reviewers had a hard time believing this to be a natural cleansing product. Every ingredient on the list has excellent safety records and a long history of use. For people who don't like the smell, thymol is simply an essential oil from the thyme plant, the same thyme you would use as an herb to flavor food. It's non-toxic to humans and pets, but has a strong odor - I think it's a very strong "herbal" scent. Unlike bleach- or ammonia-based cleaners, it dissolves quickly and doesn't cause violent reactions in asthmatics. Reasons I keep refilling them for my family: 1) No rinsing. With many "big brand” wipes, rinsing is a required step. Not so with these wipes - just disinfect and get started. 2) EPA-approved as a disinfectant against viruses, including the "big ones" that are currently circulating, as well as against colds, flu, and other nasty germs. 3) No fumes - odor (from thymol) does not cause breathing problems. Interestingly, along with other plant essential oils, thymol is also the sanitizing ingredient used in the original Listerine mouthwash. If you know the smell of classic Listerine, you have an idea of what it smells like. Overall, I'm confident in using it around children and pets and in food prep areas, but I definitely don't feel comfortable using it. aggressive chemicals. If you're looking for a cleaner that will leave your home smelling like synthetic roses, fresh linens or whatever, then this isn't it; But if you're looking for a safe, clean, and effective cleaning cloth, look no further.
