Excellent material. It is excellent for cleaning and polishing silver and is considered non-abrasive. But wait, that's not all. It is non-toxic and smells like mouthwash. If you swallow it, they recommend drinking some water. I haven't tested this recommendation, but it's nice to see a metal cleaner/polisher without being told to call a poison control center. If I had a silver item that would come in contact with food, I would use it. Because it doesn't stain, it may take a little more effort to get the job done, but the result is that it's easy to remove excess without leaving tons of white clay residue like other metal polishes, saving you time. I haven't tried Silver Care on other metals and it may not be as versatile as Simichrome, Maas or Flitz (what are those products called?), but Blitz make polishes for other metals too.
