Perfect in many ways

I've had several different cases over the years including several Zero Halliburtons which I have to say are still the best. But zeros are expensive! Having recently bought two new Nikon bodies and a couple of new lenses along with them, I've started looking for something like the Zero at no extra cost. I decided I needed two cases, one for each system, rather than one large case for all, to keep the weight down. I like Pelican Airs, they are very good cases, light and strong, they are more like Zero than most other cases. But there is no right size for what I was looking for, no wheels. I don't need wheels, just a handle. Most large pelicans have five latches, three in front and one on each side. One of the reasons the Pelican doesn't work for me is that I don't want to open five latches every time I need to get to my suitcase, and the Pelican's latches are tight and difficult to open. I love seahorse clasps. ; They are fixed by turning the small round knob twice. The clasps are sturdy and well-made, but still easy to open with one hand. The SE720 looks every bit as rugged as its Pelican equivalent, and the Seahorse is half the price. I got two 720s for less than the price of a single Pelican Air 1555. Another concern when looking for the case was whether the bottom would be deep enough to hold the D810, which is nearly five inches tall when upright. SE720 is perfect. And although there's only one piece of thick, tear-off foam on the bottom, you can tweak the spots that need less depth by snipping off some of the foam you removed and putting it back in the hole you removed it from have removed. Creating a custom space for my gear was easy and I was amazed at how quickly I was able to do it. All in all you can't go wrong if you want a suitcase of this size. He is perfect in many ways. I asked where I can buy replacement foam inserts and got no answer. So I took a break from my laziness and went to Seahorse.net and here is the answer: http://www.seahorsecases.net/seahorse-foam-inserts.html This seems to be the cheapest source, the original Seahorse foam inserts sold.
