Small Cubes, LOTS OF LIGHT, True Amber

Hi guys I bought these after looking at other reviews and seeing them on some jeep forums. I installed them on my front bumper in combination with an additional harness/relay/switch kit available from this brand. The result is AMAZING. The packaging and instructions are very good and clear. All mounting hardware is included with high quality brackets, screws and hex head screws. They also include NyLock washers and nuts for attaching the main mount - SWEET. The brackets are designed to allow a wide range of up and down adjustment with a main anchor bolt and stop screw on either side of each lantern. I used a small level on top of each light to adjust mine so they match up exactly and project parallel to the ground. The light cubes themselves are really well constructed and the weather protection in particular seems high-tech and designed for durability in open use. For the wiring, the cable length was perfect, really high quality components and connectors, weatherproof and very well assembled. Installation was easy (you should be comfortable routing wires, working under the hood, etc.) and I completed the project in about an hour using basic hand tools. Note: I decided to remove the part of my Jeep's dashboard under the steering wheel. and drilled a 1 inch hole in it for the light switch. It turned out to be a good spot with enough room for the back of the shift cylinder and the wires attached to it. With the bezel in place, the switch doesn't get in the way, but it's easy to reach and clean looking. The switch that comes with the optional wiring harness is a round red rocker switch that lights up when turned on! What about rays? Well, when they say amber, they mean AMBER. The rays are bright, throw a lot of light forward and are very orange/amber in color. It's not the same shade as your turn signals, for example, or the classic amber fog bulbs from brands like Hella or PIA. This is a deeper orange color than you might expect. sample output? I wouldn't call these lights "narrow" or "focused" beams, more like high beams, but the beams are pushed far forward. The great thing about deeper amber is that it's perfect for cutting through snow or rain and is easy on the eye while really making signposts and road reflectors stand out from afar. Please note that when purchased separately these lights do not include a wiring harness, just their mating ends on the back of each module. If you don't feel like making your own wiring harness, you can order the "Universal Wiring Harness Kit for RUN-D LED Lights". I'd rather have everything in the kit, but I also appreciate those of us on a budget that if you just want to make your own harness and save money, you can keep costs down by dropping the wire harness. Basically, it makes the light more accessible. However, the wiring harness is of excellent quality and value in my opinion. It includes all black polyester jacketed wires, a pre-wired 30 amp relay, a pre-wired illuminated switch, pre-wired weatherproof connectors that fit directly into the ends of the flashlight, and pre-wired power leads for direct connection to a ring terminal battery. Because of its finished look - once installed it looks completely factory made - you can't even tell it's there unless you know what to look for. I like it. Check your local laws to ensure it is legal for traffic if that is your intended use. In my opinion, they are great for off-road use or on the road in bad weather. I really like it and I think it was a good buy. Hope this helps people. - Bolt
