Review on 60 Pack Coloring Pencils Set - High-Quality Wooden Art Pencils for Kids and Adults - Ideal for Coloring Books, Sketching, Painting, and Drawing - Great Artist Supplies and Gifts for Kids by Lori Aguirre

They would be fantastic for children - very strong pencils!

Okay folks, let's first understand that these are 60 oil-based crayons for (when I bought them) $6, so although I'll list a few 'gotchas' about them they really are NOT something to seriously complain about or worry about at this price point. So first the good news: these pens are tough. Now I keep them in a box with other pencil sets so they don't bounce around in transit or in an envelope. ANY pencil will arrive damaged if sent in this condition. I had a small tear on the corner of the box lid. You can see in my photos that while the wires have left marks on the cardboard packaging they are in, they are not broken. When making the color swatches, I was brutal with these pens - I pressed really hard to completely fill in the ravages of the paper and see how they reacted. The tip of only four of the 60 pencils treated in this way broke off. So I think they are great for kids who are too rough with softer crayons. Another plus is that the tips are well centered on most pencils. Some of them are off center but hey I have Prismacolors which are off center as the worst of these number one pencils. They sharpen well and don't break. They can be erased - see two photos of the green sample - red arrows show before and after erasing the note. The colors are vibrant and cover the spectrum of what anyone could want as they layer well allowing you to create complementary hues and colors this way. Now a few things you need to know that aren't perfect: One of the photos in the product description says they are water soluble, but as you can see in my picture they only react slightly to water. Just a mention of how the description says they are. There are no color names or numbers on the pins. Look at my photo - they are all the same lol. Leads tend to crumble if you press really hard like I did - see photos. I checked the first three colors (yellow), I have a good sample of the three types. Achievement you will find in this set - 1) some colors, mostly faded colors are really waxy and not many colors set so needs a lot of layers. 2) Most colors are even and lay well with good rich color. 3) Some colors are a bit scratchy and require many layers. BUT, as you can see in my closeup photo, the end result of all three types of performance is very similar. Throw the box away and put it in something else - it will save you a lot of tears because the box is junk. Verdict: This is a super affordable set that's great for kids and keeps them away from your more expensive pens so you don't cry when they repeatedly break the tips and sharpen those expensive pens to a point in just a day of coloring. From a more mature point of view, they are good for travel sketches as they are very hardy. No, they won't set your world on fire, but they are perfectly usable and useful pens for sketchbooks and coloring books.

Just As described! Love all the colors. For the price the quality is just fine.
