This timer is easy to set up and use. It's simple and straightforward, so there's really no learning curve in using it. There is a magnet on the back so it can stick to a range hood or other appliance and there is also a 'stand' on the back made of durable plastic. I also noticed a loop on the upper back that can be used to hang it from a small hook or string if you want to carry it with you for some reason. The alarm sound is a bit harsh but loud enough to be heard when you are in another room. My only complaint is that they are sold in packs of 2 which I find wasteful. If I only need one timer, I can buy just one timer.
