I bought this alarm because I was injured by a dog bite and wanted something to deter future dogs or dog fights to stop. This alarm clock supposedly repels bears, so I figured it would work on dogs too. The alarm clock is small, which is nice. I tried it as an experiment at my local dog park, it worked and was moderately loud but not really louder than other alarms I've had. Instead of being scared, every dog at the dog park came out of curiosity to see what was going on. I've tried this a few times at home with my dog and she didn't even flinch every time it worked, just sat next to me curiously. So this 100% dog does not deter, but even attracts. Do not frighten such a bear. I will no longer use it.
