I am using a bracket to mount a dish network hopper receiver and dvd player. He's done a great job in that direction. The arms are adjustable side-to-side to fit properly under the receiver and include a strap for attaching components to the arms. I installed this in the bedroom above a dresser and I don't think a strap is needed as it's unlikely to be banged on by anyone. However, it is better to be safe than to break. It attaches securely to the wall with a wall stud under the flat screen TV mount. The only drawback is the lack of cable management. I used some string to tie everything together to make it as neat as possible. Finally, for a fraction of what retailers are asking, this is a great price.
