Review on πŸ“ Lisle 13920 12mm Pilot Drill Pin by Chris Sandridge

If you're planning a tire change for a BMW, you need it.

For some reason European vehicles use screws instead of bolts and nuts to attach wheels. There is no clear technical advantage, there is one major disadvantage; Installing the wheel is tricky as it doesn't hold anything, making it a two person job. That's what it's for; It screws in place of a single screw, allowing the wheel to hang from it when removed or reinstalled. It works even better with two, because with one the wheel tends to spin and with two it's going nowhere. I bought a Lisle instrument because I'm familiar with the brand and I think it's reasonably priced and of good quality. It's both and well worth the modest price.

Pros
  • Lisle Tool Spare Part 13950
Cons
  • Socket Required
