Review on πŸš— Enhanced Automotive EVAP Smoke Machine: Advanced Diagnostic Tool for Efficient Vacuum Leak Detection by Aaron Jensen

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Low consumption smelting.: tools and equipment

This device was easy to use and produced a good amount of smoke. Unfortunately I was only able to use it 3 times before it broke. For the fourth time I set up a 99 Camry for a vacuum leak. Connected to car battery. T/B are sealed with masking tape. He pushed the button and started smoking. The flow rate was 2.5 l/min. After about 30 seconds I see smoke coming out of the car. I thought it was a leak so I reduced the flow to 1L/min. It immediately got worse. I stop the car. Top up with liquid cap and double cap and try again. There is no heat. No guarantee. Dismantled, found melted heating wires. It seems to me that the reduced flow doesn't provide enough cooling and overheats to the point of something giving and shorting out. Or maybe just a bad assembly and a short one just waiting in the wings. All I know is I need to figure out how to get the heating element and see if I can keep it running, a 30 day warranty is no good for a $200 tool. It must be at least one year.

Pros
  • even the elderly can understand
Cons
