This is Not Surgical Steel. It doesn't bother my ear, but the upper part turns the ear green, which is caused by the oxidation reaction with the COPPER. A good example of this is the Statue of Liberty. Be transparent about the materials used as it was not clearly stated that copper was the material used and this is misleading information. This item should be removed from Amazon unless it is fully and clearly stated that it is copper and not surgical steel.
