Comfort and attractiveness are important when choosing a collar for my Overlords kitten. The collar is soft and made of the same material as the kimono. The softness and suppleness of the collar prevents tangling in my longhaired cats' luxurious coat. It tightens and loosens with slip knots, the collar doesn't pull or loosen on its own even when my kitten runs and plays. Another added bonus is that the rigidly folded floppy belly of traditional collars isn't here as it's made up of knots! The buckle is small and rounded so that when your kitten lies down, it doesn't cling to his soft neck. The bell is also low, not high like a toy cat, so it's a very nice sound when my kitty master bangs around the house. This is the second collar I have received from this brand. Nothing wrong with the first one, it's old and we wanted a fresh new collar to start the new year. It still holds up just as well as the previous one. If quality and comfort are important to you and your cat rulers, then this is a great collar!
