Poor product does not meet Yaesu standards

I think maybe Yaesu backed off on quality to try to compete on price. This radio looks and feels like it was made by one of the Chinese "cheap" manufacturers - it seriously resembles one of BaoFeng's radios. It's meant for split tone but I've yet to get it working. There are grammatical errors in the programming software and the settings do not match the programming settings on the front of the radio. On a positive note, check with a spectrum analyzer, HF is very clean, modulation (WB and NB) is within spec, frequency stability (with fully charged batteries) is on point (better than 0.5ppm in both VHF and also in UHF), RX sensitivity is excellent (better than 0.25uV for 12dB SINAD on both bands). Physically it doesn't feel as rigid as its older brother, the FT-60, and the included charger is really cheap and light - not to say it's bad, it just doesn't feel as rigid. from Yaesu ". In the end I returned the radio. The tone squelch only works on the strongest (totally muted) signals, this product does not meet Yaesu standards, they should be ashamed to sell it.
