I've tried using torque wrenches from port freight and home storage but they don't seem to tighten properly. I'll have to calibrate them and see what happens, luckily none of my parts broke trying to use them. etc. Most other torque wrenches you find have an upper torque limit, mostly for auto parts. I had a hard time finding one that matched the bike components I needed. I also got an extra parking tool socket and bit set because although I have many tools/bits I didn't have a socket set and even then it was difficult to keep everything together. Now everything is ready when I have to work on the bike. I didn't like spending money but to be honest it made my build a lot easier, gave me confidence and made it easier. So for me it was worth it and I wish I hadn't spent the extra money on other keys. The parking tool is also the easiest and smoothest of the three I have. However, now that I'm more familiar with torque conceptually/practically, I'd prefer a bar wrench where you can actively see how much torque is being applied. on the dial. They have the advantage of being able to see what you're doing, whether they're calibrated or not, and they're generally cheaper and easier to maintain.
